The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government initiative designed to help cover some of the costs of dental care for eligible Canadian residents. By reducing financial barriers, this plan ensures that more Canadians can prioritize their oral health.

To qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, applicants must meet the following criteria:

No access to dental insurance – The plan is available to Canadians without any form of dental coverage.
Adjusted family net income below $90,000 – The plan is tailored to support families with an income under this threshold.
Canadian residency for tax purposes – Applicants must be Canadian residents for tax purposes to be eligible.
Recent tax return filing – Applicants should have filed their tax return for the previous year.

Dr. Hammad Qasim

General Dentist at Apple Wellness Dental

Dr. Qasim was raised in Saskatoon, SK, where he attended dental school at the University of Saskatchewan. He graduated in 2020, before moving to Alberta in 2022. He is at Apple Wellness Dental full-time, and is always working to make sure his patients have the best experience possible. He offers a wide variety of general dental services and is always looking to advance his skills even further through various continuing education courses every year. In his free time, you can find him spending time with family, playing sports, hiking, or lifting weights at your local gym! Don’t forget to say hi if you see him around!

Dr. Sanjay Rajpal

General Dentist at Apple Wellness Dental

Dr. Rajpal was raised in Castor, Alberta and attended dental school at the University of Western Ontario in London. After graduation he opened up Apple Wellness Dental (previously known as Village Square Dental) in 1993. 30 years later, he is still proudly serving the community of Airdrie. Dr. Rajpal offers a wide range of general dental services, with a special interest in endodontics. When he not looking after his patients, you can find Dr. Rajpal either camping, gardening and walking his two Irish Setters, Fred and Barney. He also enjoys playing golf around the wonderful courses in the Calgary area.
